Common Ice Machine Problems We Fix
Ice machines work hard every day, and over time they can develop performance issues that affect ice quality, production speed, and overall efficiency. Our experienced technicians diagnose and repair all types of residential ice machine problems using advanced tools and professional repair methods. Whether your unit has stopped producing ice completely or is leaking water onto the floor, we provide reliable solutions designed to restore full functionality and prevent future breakdowns.
Ice Machine Not Making Ice
Low water flow, clogged filters, or defective inlet valves can stop ice production completely. Our technicians inspect every component to restore consistent ice making performance.
Ice Cubes Too Small
Improper water pressure or restricted water supply can create tiny or hollow ice cubes. We diagnose the cause and restore proper water flow and freezing performance.
Water Leaking From Unit
Damaged hoses, blocked drains, or cracked internal parts can lead to water leaks. We quickly locate the leak source and repair it before major damage occurs.
Ice Dispenser Not Working
Faulty dispenser motors, jammed ice chutes, or broken switches may stop ice from dispensing properly. We repair the system to restore smooth ice delivery.
Ice Machine Freezing Over
Excess frost buildup often results from cooling issues or airflow problems. Our technicians repair faulty components and restore proper freezing balance.
Bad Tasting Ice
Dirty filters, mold buildup, or contaminated water lines can affect ice quality. We clean and sanitize the system to improve taste and freshness.
Ice Machine Won’t Start
Electrical failures, damaged control boards, or wiring issues can prevent operation. We perform complete diagnostics to restore safe system functionality.
Slow Ice Production
Weak cooling performance or failing compressors can reduce ice output significantly. Our experts repair cooling components for faster ice production.

Clients Review
Real Reviews From Happy Texas Customers

Ice maker repair quoted at $465 — for a $130 part and about 30 minutes of labor. Egregious markup aside, MrFix runs a terrible operation. The technician barely spoke English, was extremely forgetful, and disorganized.
He arrived on time, checked the temperature, then quoted ~$430 to fix it the next day. I agreed, assuming a thorough diagnosis and repair would follow. Instead, the invoice had no line items, just a vague charge.
When he returned, he didn’t even remember why he was there. After repeating the basic inspection, he claimed the entire ice maker needed replacement. I had to leave for work, and he pressured my wife into paying another $497 — despite the fact I'd already paid the day before. I was able to intercept and demand a refund, which they processed (sketchily) through a Square transaction.
As a handy person, I know the actual issue: $130 part, 30 minutes of work. I’ll do it myself next time. Avoid this company.

Highly recommend

Ruslan was great.
